Night Guards

At your dental visits, you will be evaluated for abnormal bite symptoms and wear patterns on your teeth. Bruxism is a condition where you grind, gnash, or clench your teeth. If you have bruxism you may unconsciously clench or grind your teeth when you’re awake or asleep.

Signs and symptoms include:

  • Jaw, head, neck, or tooth discomfort
  • Fractured or broken teeth
  • Temperature and biting sensitivity
  • Flat, chipped, or uneven teeth
  • Short, worn down teeth
  • Mobility of teeth
  • Recession of gums
  • Abfractions (wedge-shaped loss of tooth structure near gumline)

If you have bruxism, it may be necessary to have a custom guard made to protect your teeth from further damage. At Advanced Family Dentistry, we use digital scans of your teeth to make a highprecision impression of your teeth. No more goopy impression material!
